2. HIGH POTENCY MAGNESIUM

Bernie says: “Viridian High Potency Magnesium capsules contain three types of magnesium. I find it helpful for tension headaches, and it relaxes my muscles by allowing airways to expand after asthma flare-ups.”

3. DIGESTIVE SUPPORT

Bernie says: “Udo’s Super 8 Gold helps with my digestive system and general gut health. I find my immune system is better too. No more colds for me!”

4. MAGNESIUM AND VITAMINS

Bernie says: “Prizmag+ combines magnesium glycinate, D3 and K2. It’s part of my going to sleep ritual, helps me to switch off and relaxes my muscles and my mind. The combination of D3 and K2 with the magnesium means it benefits my bones and immune system.”

Tattie Hoaker Healthfood shop in Roscommon

This issue Tara Connolly Beirne, sales advisor at Tattie Hoaker Healthfood shop in Roscommon reviews a facial oil, olive leaf extract, magnesium and vitamins

Shop open Monday-Saturday 10am- 6pm.

1. MAGNESIUM POWDER

An old favourite of mine is Mag 365 Magnesium Powder. Most of us could do with supplementing some extra magnesium as it’s responsible for so many processes in the body. Mixed with warm water to activate, it has a relaxing effect. It helps me sleep well and feel more energetic during the day.

2. VITAMIN C

I enjoy Somega C Liposomal Vitamin C from the Irish company Summit Nutrihealth. I find it convenient to just mix some in a glass of water to drink – it tastes pleasantly refreshing. As well as being good for immunity, vitamin C is a boost to the skin too, helping with collagen production.

3. VITAMIN AND MINERAL BOOST

Zest Active from Revive Active is a formulation of vitamins and nutrients to help with energy and, with the addition of beta glucans and lysine, it’s a boost to the immune system too. It comes in handy sachets ready to mix into water or bring with you. My morning routine is to mix a sachet of Zest Active in a glass of water with some Mag365 magnesium powder and a tablespoon of Somega vitamin C. This combination makes a really tasty orange drink and I feel set up for the day ahead.

4. VITAMIN D

I boost my vitamin D levels with ITL Health Vitamin D Plus capsules. As well as vitamin D3 it has K2 and magnesium to help optimise the absorption of the D3 in the body. It also has B12, which helps boost my energy levels. This combination is ideal for taking alongside a calcium supplement.

5. OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT

“If I feel a bug coming on I take Macánta Olive Leaf Extract to help knock it out quickly. Olive leaf is an ancient remedy and I find it works like a natural antibiotic for me, I always have it on hand ready to use. Macanta is an Irish brand of quality products and I like to support local as much as possible.

6. FACIAL OIL

This time of year my skin can feel in need of extra care so I’m using Poko Facial Oil with CBD, vitamins and omega oils for great skin benefits. It feels luxurious on my face and smells absolutely divine. It has all natural ingredients ,which is important to me because what’s applied to the skin is absorbed into the body.
